Listening to Branham’s Tape Messages and reading the printed material of his tape Messages everyone (including me) heard his testimonies of his encounter with the Supernatural and his Angel. I once was one of his followers and as the others I were gullible because I and they didn’t catch exactly what he said because we were awe struck and considered Branham to be from God. When God led me from that cult I started seeing exactly what he said about his Supernatural and Angelic Encounter and saw discrepancies in his testimonies and some illogical reasoning in some of his testimonies. In many cases though he claimed many witnesses to some of these encounters I yet had not seen anyone testifying to his encounter. What I will do now is give some of his testimonies with the References to the messages they are in.

In his own words he said: “The first thing I can remember in life is a vision. I was eighteen months old…”(7 Consecutive Visions (Concerning End time Events From 1933 to The End).

I never heard of anyone remembering what happened at that age. In fact I hadn’t heard of anyone remembering what happened when they were three as Branham said he did.

When he was about seven years old, the wind was blowing through the trees and a voice come out from the trees saying, “Never drink, smoke or defile your body in any way, for I have a great work for you to do when you are older” (My life Story, p.24)

Notice this being said he had a great work for Branham and not God had a great work for you. What is amazing is this Being never once said anything about God or Jesus Christ or even mentioned the Gospel in all his encounters. It was always this being had a great work.

Why did this being tell him not to smoke, drink, or defile his body? This being knew he was going to send him to Christians and if he did any of those things he will been rejected by the Holiness Churches.

“Some years later he become so hungry for God, that he went out to an old wood shed and there tried to pray. Suddenly there appeared a “light in the form of a cross” and a “voice spoke to him in a language he did not understand. “

This is a statement Ellen White made when one of her prophecies failed. The Angel gave her the prophecy in a language she didn’t understand. If God speaks to anyone it will be in the language the person speaks and he will understand what the voice said. God is not the Author of Confusion. He gives these testimonies of supernatural signs and Angelic encounters trying to exalt himself.

Seeing a light in the shape of a Cross is not a sign it is from God unless you want to believe Statues of Mary Crying or Blood coming from her. Also the thought crossed my mind that he is making this up to make himself into something he isn’t.

1. “He knew that something had happened to him and as he prayed the second time, it appeared again – the LIGHT in the form of a Cross. In his own words he said, “Then it seemed to me that there had been a thousand pounds lifted from my soul.” Something swept over him and he experienced an exquisite feeling he had never know before. He said it felt like rain was pelting down on his body. He knew then that God had forgiven him of his sin and baptized him with the Holy Ghost.

2. I was converted in the Baptist church, and just come out from the Baptist church. I belong to no church now, that I might pull together the family of God. Not representing any one church, but only the one Church and that’s the only true Church, the Body of Jesus Christ. When it first came to me, many different of the organizations… The Baptist people never kicked me out; only way you get kicked out of a Baptist conference is immoral living, not your doctrine; it’s immoral living. But they didn’t believe in Divine healing and gifts. They said, “Won’t work.” But now they see that it does.

3. I was converted in an old coal shed. And when I come in, I didn’t know nothing about shouting or praising the Lord. So, I felt so good I — I didn’t even touch a board coming up from the shed to the house. 59-0815 AS.THE.EAGLE.STIRRETH.UP.HER.NEST

4. I was converted in a converted barroom. And I feel very much at home now. I look back there and see that counter, and so forth. It was a little, colored church, where I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, was led there by the Lord. Now, to see these kind of places, they — they don’t want to. They got to have the big flowery name behind it. It’s got to have so much behind it, or people won’t. It’s got to be so pretty, outwardly, until if it — it isn’t that way, then the people don’t want nothing to do with

5. Many of you people right here in this building tonight from right around the home places here, that would’ve been dead in their grave if it hadn’t been for Jesus Christ. And I am one of them. That’s right. I’d have went years ago right here in the Jewish hospital when a doctor of this city, one of the famous doctors of this city, give me three minutes to live. And I’m here by the grace of God. Then when He let me live, I gave my heart to Him and been screaming from the housetop ever since. And I believe Him with all my heart. May He come tonight and bless your humble soul.

We have 5 conversions in 5 different places and in 1, 4, and 5 we have Branham receiving the Holy Spirit but each time he received the Holy Ghost Baptism he didn’t know what it was until he received. Why are all these testimonies different? He was making it up trying to impress the people he was speaking to at the time. He was deceiving the people!
